Royal Oaks Alpacas is all about Huacaya alpacas. Our goal is to breed and train our animals for both high quality fiber and for good temperament.
Alpacas are renowned as fiber animals, producing some of the softest, strongest natural fibers available. With this in mind, our breeding program is focused on producing
alpaca fiber with low micron counts, lots of luster and density.
The story of Royal Oaks Alpacas began with, of all things, a television commercial. We became interested in not only the animals, but the lifestyle of breeding and handling
alpacas. So we began our research, visited several farms, and decided to jump in. Not only did we believe it would be a great thing to do when we retired, but we also have
a son who at the age of 16 became a special child. We wanted to provide him with something that could benefit him. Raising and breeding alpacas was the perfect choice because
of the gentleness and relative ease of caring for these wonderful animals.
Our goal is to breed our alpacas for a gentle temperament in order to share them with special individuals, both children and adults.
We own and breed Huacaya alpacas, chosen first from the heart, and then for their quality. We welcome the opportunity to share these wonderful creatures with you.
