Alpaca Handling, Training and Agistment - Royal Oaks Alpacas

While much of the alpaca's temperament is inherited, how you handle them can make a big difference in their behavior. With handling and training by Royal Oaks Alpacas, your animal will learn to trust you. Donna has been trained in CAMELIDynamics by Marty McGee Bennett, a well-known trainer in the alpaca and llama industry.

Our goal is to train trusting and obedient animals through kind, respectful and safe handling methods, as mentioned in Marty McGee Bennett's book, The Camelid Companion.

We continue to stay up-to-date on our alpaca handling skills through clinics and seminars with Marty, and we hope we can share what we learn with our customers and those who have a desire to learn more about these unique animals.

If you are not yet ready to have your animals at home with you, or if you just would like to get started in the business without having to invest in property, fencing, etc., we would love to take care of your animals for you. For a monthly fee plus any major medical expenses we would be happy to care for your animals. Our herd is small so we have plenty of room to house your animals comfortably and there is always someone home to watch over them.
